Senior/Grad pics from Nashville

So while I was in Nashville I had a chance to follow around an award winning photographer, Steve Harrington and his wife and photoshop expert Shelley. It was a great experience and I learned a lot about posing, lighting and all sorts of ideas for great Grad portraits. Our Model Jaycee was from Utah and she was great. She had such great eye contact and I had so many favorites from our full day shoot. Also on our trip through Nashville, we ran into Devon who we got to pose for us, what a great sport. Here are a few that I took while there. Thanks Steve and Shelley for bringing such a great lady down to Nashville for us, such a perfect model.

Ok I know I totally am slacking in the blogging world

I am so sorry for all you blog stalkers out there that I haven't posted any pics in a while. I really need to get back and post more often, just a busy time of year I guess. So if I haven't contacted you yet, all orders that are needed for Christmas need to be ordered by the end of November so I can make sure you have them in time. I hope that most people read this and know that I can't promise Christmas delivery if ordered after November 30th. I hope to post a few pics of my time in Nashville soon so keep watching as I will try and post a few pics from my boudoir session and grad session soon.

Greetings from Nashville

Hey Y'all, I just wanted to say hi from Nashville. Right now I am in a seminar on Grad photography. I can't wait to come home and break into this market even more than I did this year. I have learned so much.
Last night I had a chance to practice in our really unique hotel doing a bit of Boudoir photos. One of the gals here wanted to do a special present for her husband for their 15th anniversary so I had the opportunity to shoot that for her. I hope to offer this to most of my brides from here on out, what a great gift to give your new husband on your wedding day.
Tonight we are going downtown to check out some of Nashville. It should be a fun time. Well I better get back to listening. I hope all is well.

6 day old Brandon

Ok so I love my job, I love being able to capture those sweet first moments with a baby. Last night,Aaron and Leanna brought in their new baby Brandon, he was only 6 days old. Although I don't think he liked to be naked, a full belly helped in all that. Such a beautiful baby boy. Congrats again Aaron and Leanna,you have a heart breaker on your hands, I know it.

Just a note,if you have a new baby, the best time to take their photos is in the first 10 days as they are still so limber and can be moved into squishy positions more easily. Call me as soon as the baby is born to book your appt or even better, book before you even have the baby to make sure you get an appt.

Kara, a beautiful 5 week old baby girl

So Donna gave birth to a beautiful baby girl a little over 5 weeks ago now and she finally made it in for her photo shoot. Kara has a full head of hair and even though it took a while to console her, we got some great photos.  Here is a sneak into her session

So I had the beautiful Elizabeth in the studio on the weekend. Elizabeth is going to school to be a photographer and she really looked great in front of the camera as well once she loosened up that is. Beth I hope you like the ones I picked as my favorites.

Justin, Class of '09 HCS

So Justin stopped by on Saturday for his grad photos. Justin is a big sports guy, playing soccer, basketball and volleyball, but his true passion was baseball that he had to give up a few years ago since there isn't a local young man's team for his age group. I could tell that he was so passionate about his sports but especially the baseball. I did up this collage of him and I hope you enjoy it. I hope to do up a few more of his sports pics to post soon and add to this.

Julia, Class of '09 HCS

So I had the beautiful Julia in my studio today, and although she was a bit nervous from what I was told, her photos didn't show and I think she was a total natural. Her best friend Emma came with her so we just had to take a few of the both of them. I guess they have been friends since Kindergarten. Tim and Miranda, October 4, 2008

On Saturday I had the chance to capture a beautiful wedding at a small church in Southampton, I can tell that Tim and Miranda are so in love, and I totally loved those fall colors. We had a fun time and gots lots of great pics that day, it was a bit chilly but we coped with the chilliness and captured a few of those moments between a couple so in love with each other. So I got a chance to take Molly down to the studio the other night, although she totally hates it when I put the camera up to my face, treats always work wonders with her. Here are just a few that I took, she is growing so quickly but still has that puppy look which is my favorite. She has such personality too and it shows in one of the pics I chose. Little Miss Haylee, fairy pics in Hartland, NB

So Haylee and her Dad popped by tonight to help my hubby put up our new dog fence and while Haylee and I were hanging out, we decided to get her all dressed up and get some enchanted fairy pics. Haylee's mom and Sue were having a really bad night so I hope this cheers her up a bit. Our prayers are with you Sue in this hard time. We love you.

LIttle baby bundle of joy, Madelyn

I had the opportunity to have a little bundle of joy in the studio yesterday and wow she was so attentive. It took a bit to get her asleep but it was finally accomplished after we got a few open eyed pics. Maddy is only 5 weeks old and such a cutie pie. I love taking pics of newborns, so sweet and innocent. Here is a sneak into their session. Thanks Melissa and Jared for getting her here. Even though my husband and I are unable to have kids at this time, I still enjoy taking maternity photos the most. I had the pleasure of having Donna, her husband Dave and their little girl Anna in the studio the other night and just love how they turned out. So we headed back out last night again to see what kind of outdoor pics we could do. I just love waterfalls. So here's a shout out to Darla, Danielle's mom, she is a great lady, and totally passed on her good looks to her daughter.
